HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A Holyoke man was arrested after a search of a home allegedly turned up more than a thousand bags of heroin, two firearms, and other drugs.
Hampden County District Attorney’s Office spokesman Jim Leydon told 22News the search warrant was executed at 22 St. Jerome Avenue on Tuesday. Forty-year-old Michael Marrero is now facing multiple charges including trafficking in heroin and illegal possession of a firearm.
In total, Leydon said 1,190 bags of heroin, two handguns, approximately 10 grams of cocaine, 3.5 pounds of marijuana, $6,500 in cash, THC vape products, and packaging materials were seized from the home.
One of the firearms recovered was reported stolen in Alabama back in 1993.
Marrerro is now being held on $100,000 cash bail.
