Hinsdale man arraigned, pleads not guilty to murder, other charges

A Hinsdale man was arraigned on several charges in Berkshire Superior Court Monday afternoon.

The Berkshire District Attorney’s office told 22News 32-year-old Michael Boulais entered not guilty pleas to one count of murder, one count of reckless endangerment of a child and one count of improper storage of a firearm, rifle or shotgun.

The DA’s office says Boulais allegedly killed his estranged girlfriend, 24-year-old Kassedi Clark. Her body was found inside a vehicle on Ashmere Drive on April 13, 2018.

Boulais was ordered held without the right to bail at the Berkshire County House of Corrections.

The investigation is being conducted by State Troopers assigned to the DA’s office, members of the Hinsdale and Dalton Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department, State Troopers assigned to the Cheshire barracks, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services and Ballistics Sections and forensic scientists assigned to the State Police Crime Laboratory.
