Holyoke apartment building struck by gunfire


Water service had to be shut off to a Holyoke apartment building early Monday morning, after a bullet went through a window of the building.

Holyoke Police Sgt. Troy Copeland told 22News that police received a call for shots fired at 308 Chestnut Street at around 2:30 A.M.

Copeland said that one of the shots went through the window of the apartment building, and ended up damaging a water pipe. Water service to the building had to be shut off as repairs were made.

No injuries were reported in the shooting.
