Holyoke man arrested after allegedly kidnapping woman, threatening to kill her


A Holyoke man is facing several criminal charges including kidnapping in the first degree after allegedly taking a woman against her will, physically harming and threatening to kill her. 

According to the Milford Police Department, officers were called to the area of I-95 near the Exit 40 off-ramp for reports of suspicious activity on Sunday morning. 

When officers arrived, they found a woman walking south on Woodmont Road, away from a car that was heading north on Woodmont Road around 7:55 a.m. 

The responding officers were able to stop the vehicle and after investigating, they arrested 34-year-old Carlos Rosario-Infante of Elm Street

Rosario-Infante is accused of driving the woman from Massachusetts to Connecticut without her permission, cutting her with a razor blade several times and telling her he was going to kill her. He is facing the following charges: 

  • Kidnapping in the first degree 
  • Disorderly conduct 
  • Threatening in the first degree 
  • Weapon in a motor vehicle 

The woman’s name has not been released. 

Police also found a BB gun while searching the vehicle Rosario-Infante was driving. He is being held on $190,000 bond.
