Holyoke Police arrested more than 140 suspects and seized more than 15,000 bags of heroin in a six-week anti-crime operation.

The operation focused on gang crimes and violence prevention. One Holyoke woman welcomed the anti-drug efforts.
“Coming from an addict as myself, it is a problem, it’s getting worse, getting extreme,” Heather Savage told 22News.”It’s a shocking number, but if you think about all day long all of the different areas, it’s really not.”
Police seized 14 guns, 15,600 bags of heroin, and more than 120 bags of cocaine.
