Man killed after shooting on Suffolk Street in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed on Suffolk Street Monday night.

According to Hampden County District Attorney’s Office spokesman Jim Leydon, 43-year-old Jose Bonilla of Holyoke was found suffering from a gunshot wound on 56 Suffolk Street around 9:45 p.m. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he later died.

The Holyoke Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office’s Murder Unit is investigating the homicide.
