Holyoke police investigating report of shots fired


HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke police are investigating after five shell casings were found at the intersection of Walnut and Hampden Streets Monday morning.

Holyoke Police Lt. James Albert told 22News officers found the casings while responding to a report of shots fired near that intersection at 11:15 a.m. He said police are not aware of any victims or property damage.

Albert told 22News there was little cooperation at the site of the crime, but they did receive a report that a black pick up truck left the area. The truck was believed to have been spotted in the area of Pleasant, Taylor, and Lincoln Streets, but officers could not find it.
