Holyoke stabbing suspect arrested; Victim in serious condition

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing earlier this week.

Holyoke Police Lt. James Albert told 22News, 55-year-old Victor Acevedo a.k.a. “Ito” was taken into custody in front of 100 Hampshire Street Thursday.

Acevedo is accused of stabbing a man in the alleyway behind Williams Auto Sales on High Street Tuesday afternoon. Albert said the victim remains in serious condition.

Acevedo is charged with attempted murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Holyoke District Court on Friday.
