Tuesday marks the seventh day of the investigation into the home at 1333 Page Boulevard in East Springfield, where three bodies have been recovered. On Monday, Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulluni released the identities of the women: 47 year-old Ernestine Ryans, 34 year-old America Lyden, and 27 year-old Kayla Escalante.
Both Ryans and Lyden, who were residents of Springfield, had been reported missing to that city’s police department. Springfield Police Department spokesperson Ryan Walsh told 22News that Ryans was reported missing back in March, while Lyden had been missing since last year.
There was no missing persons report filed with Springfield police for Escalante, who was a resident of Ludlow. 22News reached out to the Ludlow Police Department to see whether a report had been filed with them, but we have not yet heard back.
As of right now, a resident of the home, Stewart Weldon, is being held on kidnapping charges. No charges have been filed at this time in connection to the women’s deaths. The district attorney is waiting for the medical examiner to release an autopsy report with the causes of death for the women.
Flowers and candles have been left behind across the street from 1333 Page Boulevard as a memorial to the three women.
