Investigator turned inmate

(KUSA) Greta Lindecrantz has been behind bars since Monday after she refused to answer questions about her work on the defense team for Robert Ray, a man who has been on Death Row since 2009. Now, nine years later, Ray’s defense team is trying to prove his past representation was ineffective and called on Lindecrantz to prove that it was.

Lindecrantz’s attorney says, “As a devout Mennonite, Mrs. Lindecrantz simply cannot participate in testifying for the prosecution in a case that could lead to somebody’s death.”

However, Senator Rhonda Fields who is also the mother of the man Ray murdered, says “She’s still elected to be an investigator on the case, and now it’s up to her at this point to share that information to the judge, and she’s refusing to do so.”

An emergency appeal has been filed to get Greta out of jail but the district attorney has said that he has no sympathy for her and still needs to testify.
