Jewish graves vandalized in Fall River

A Jewish cemetery in Fall River, Massachusetts was vandalized with anti-Semitic symbols and slurs over the weekend.

Fall River Police are calling the vandalism a hate crime and trying to find whoever was responsible.

More than 20 gravestones at the Hebrew Cemetery were marked with swastikas or slurs.

 Vandals toppled others.

“It’s just heartbreaking,” said Lewis Brooks, who came when he heard about the vandalism, and saw that six of the eight gravestones in his family’s plot were desecrated.

“I was very unhappy,” Brooks said of the vandalism to the graves of his great-grandparents, great-aunts, and great-uncles.
