Longmeadow residents concerned after recent home, car break-ins

Tennyson and Pinewood Drive are two quiet residential side streets, but they’re no stranger to suspicious activity.

Longmeadow resident Seth Roberts says he’s been the victim of thieves grabbing loose change and items from his unlocked car. The most recent incidents include last Friday.

Anthony Lewis of Springfield was arrested for allegedly breaking into a home on Tennyson Drive. Police found him walking with one of the stolen items.

And just hours later another home was broken into on Pinewood Drive. Police are still looking into that incident.

“A little bit concerned in the neighborhood because we had an incident two or three years ago when there was a break in and I actually saw the person who was scoping out the houses,” Roberts told 22News. “They eventually did catch the two culprits.”

In the second incident on Pinewood Drive, the suspect used a brick to smash through a glass door in the back of the home.

It’s not clear if the incidents were connected.
