A Ludlow man is facing charges after he allegedly pulled a knife on police officers Saturday.
According to the Ludlow Police Department, 64-year-old Ernest Marasa is charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, obstruction of justice, and vandalizing property.
Police said officers were called to a home on Higher Brook Driver at 9:15 a.m. from a woman asking for help from police.
While the officers were helping the woman get her cell phone and car from the home, Marasa allegedly approached the woman and began yelling at her while hiding something behind his back.
As police tried to intervene in the incident, Marasa then allegedly pulled out an 8-inch knife on the officers.
He dropped the knife when police ordered him to, and no one was hurt.
Marasa is being held on $2,500 bail and is expected to be arraigned sometime Monday.
