Police looked into a possible school threat made towards Ludlow High School Thursday afternoon.
Sgt. Brian Shameklis of the Ludlow Police Department told 22News they received a report of a threat made on social media towards the high school sometime in the late afternoon.
Sgt. Shameklis said it was “a fresh investigation” and that officers were working to track down the suspect.
In a voice message sent to parents and guardians of the school, Ludlow School Superintendent Todd Gazda said the school shooting threat was posted on Snapchat.
Superintendent Gazda said the threat was “immediately reported” to the police department. He added that to ensure student’s safety, all Ludlow schools, including Ludlow High School, will have increased police presence during school hours on Friday.
