A man was arrested for the second time within three days on Sunday after he allegedly vandalized the Springfield Police Department.

According to Springfield Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, 25-year-old Steven Plankey went to the Springfield Police Department Sunday morning to get back property that was taken from him after he was arrested Friday.

Walsh said Plankey allegedly kicked a door, cracking the glass when an officer told him the property room was closed and he’d have to come back Monday.

Plankey was arrested at the intersection of Chestnut and Bridge Streets after he allegedly ran away. He is facing a felony charge of vandalizing property.

He is also facing charges for larceny under $1,200 and a default warrant for possession of a class A drug in connection with his arrest Friday.
