Man arrested after police chase from Springfield to Chicopee

A man is now facing charges after a police chase that started in Springfield and ended in Chicopee Friday.

According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, 28-year-old Anthony Evans was arrested after the car he was in drove away from police in Springfield who tried to pull the vehicle over.

The car allegedly only stopped after it hit another car on Front Street in Chicopee.

Walsh said Evans is charged with carrying a dangerous weapon while having an active warrant, a warrant for armed robbery, and possession of a class B drug.

The driver of the car was also identified by police and will be issued a criminal complaint.
