The Massachusetts State Police are asking for help locating a child pornography suspect who was added to the list of most wanted fugitives Monday.

According to Massachusetts State Police, 47-year-old Stephen Cote is wanted by the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and the Northampton Police Department for receipt of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

Police said Cote has been on the run since an arrest warrant was issued for him in November of 2015 after investigators developed evidence that he was allegedly in possession of child pornography.

Cote is described as white, 5’8″ tall, 190 pounds, has blue eyes, and has brown hair. He is said to have shaved his head in the past and had various forms of facial hair.

He also has several tattoos including flowers around the name Chrissy on the underside of his right forearm; a flower with the names Jocelyn, Sarah, and Amber on his back; and a heart with a cross and angel’s wings on his back.

Police said Cote has criminal convictions in Massachusetts, including assault and battery, and has been known to use the aliases Steven Cote and Stephen Craig Cote.

Cote has ties in Massachusetts to Northampton, Springfield, Westfield, Southbridge, New Bedford, Fall River. He also has ties to Woodstock, Connecticut; Broussard, Louisiana; and Lafayette, Louisiana.

Police are asking anyone with information on Cote’s whereabouts, or anyone who thinks they may have seen him to call 911 or the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section at 1-800-527-8873.
