Missing Ohio teen’s body found in shallow grave

Crime

(WKYC/NBC News) – An Ohio family is hoping for answers after the body of 14-year-old Jonathan Minard was found in a shallow grave on a Washington Township farm Friday.

Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams says Minard’s corpse was located around 10:15 a.m. Authorities had already confirmed the search for Minard, who was last seen on April 13, was now being treated as a criminal investigation. Minard was apparently at a farm on Saturday to help with milking and had intended to call his mom to come pick him up. However, his mom says she never received that phone call.

“14 year old kid. He had no right to get what he got,” said J.P Fowler, who is friends with Minard’s parents and used to babysit the teen.

The community of his hometown Dellroy and beyond is in shock something like this could happen in their town, but they’re more confused on how it could happen to someone so innocent.
