Narcotics raid in Chicopee results in seizure of heroin, cocaine, marijuana

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – An early morning narcotics raid in Chicopee led to one arrest and the seizure of several drugs.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News members of the Narcotics Unit, Special Response Team, and K9 unit executed a search warrant at 103 Chapel Street just before 5:00 a.m.

The subject of the warrant, 41-year-old Frank Bruso, was found in the kitchen and arrested after Wilk said officers found:

  • 390 bags of heroin
  • 30 grams of cocaine
  • Numerous Methadone pills
  • 18 Marijuana plants
  • 3 vials of steroids
  • 4 bags of brown powder believed to be heroin
  • 3 large jars of marijuana
  • More than $2,000 in cash

Bruso has been charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug, trafficking in cocaine, cultivate/manufacture a Class D drug, possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, and possession of a Class E drug.

Wilk said the suspect is well-known to the department.

Additional suspects may be identified as Chicopee police continue their investigation.
