A New York man pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in court Wednesday.

The Department of Justice said 27-year-old Emil Kaufman of Yorktown Heights pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child porn. A sentencing date for Kaufman has been scheduled for November 28.

On June 26, 2013, Kaufman was arrested in Great Barrington after an investigation into a “peer-to-peer-file-sharing network,” which Kaufman allegedly used to download and share child porn.

Further investigation of Kaufman’s computer and storage devices revealed that he had over 300 images of child porn in his possession, the Justice Department said.

Kaufman will be sentenced to time served and 10 years of supervised release if his plea agreement is accepted by the court.
