SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – One person was injured after a shooting on Maple Street in Springfield on Sunday.

Around 12:15 a.m. officers were called to the 100 block of Maple Street for a ShotSpotter activation, according to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh. Officers found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center for his injuries.

The Springfield Police Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
