Opening statements are expected Thursday morning in the trial of a Wendell man accused of murdering his girlfriend back in 2017.
Mary Carey, spokesperson for the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, told 22News that a jury has been seated in the case of Lewis Starkey, III. Starkey is accused of fatally shooting Amanda Glover at the couple’s Wendell home on July 5, 2017. He is accused of then driving to Chicopee and allegedly shooting at a co-worker.
Starkey was the subject of a five-day manhunt before he was placed under arrest.
Jury selection in the case began earlier this week at Franklin County Superior Court in Greenfield.
