It’s day four of the investigation. So far we know three bodies have been found and investigators are still searching for more evidence, possibly more bodies.
Hampden County District Attorney Gulluni said early Thursday in a news conference that two bodies were found “in and around” the home located at 1333 Page Boulevard. In a later news conference, he told 22News a third body was recovered.
Springfield resident Carlos Santiago who has lived across the street from the house for 30 years said he still feels safe at his home.
He told 22News, “Nobody bothers anybody here, it’s a perfect neighborhood, everybody gets a long with everybody, almost everybody knows everybody, this is shocking news to us.”
Santiago said he has never seen Weldon at the house.
Gulluni explained that 40-year-old Stewart Weldon is a resident at the home. Weldon was arrested Sunday night and is being held on $1,000,000 bail, after he allegedly kidnapped a woman, and held her hostage for a month.
DCF Spokeswoman Andrea Grossman confirmed with 22News that a child is in their custody after being taken from 1333 Page Boulevard.
Neither police or the district attorney have named any suspects in this case.
Police have put up temporary walls to block the side and back yard, as they continue their search.
