Pittsfield man to be charged in deadly hit-and-run crash


Pittsfield police have released the name of a driver who had been sought in connection with a deadly hit-and-run accident in the city.

According to a news release from the Pittsfield Police Department, 51-year-old Robert Johnson of Pittsfield will face criminal charges for leaving the scene of a personal injury/death accident.

On Sunday, 32-year-old Pittsfield resident, Christopher Reynolds was struck on Dalton Avenue and died from his injuries.

Pittsfield police say that Johnson has been cooperating with the investigation.
