EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – An Eastampton man is facing criminal charges after police say they found drugs and packaging materials during a search at his home Tuesday morning.
Easthampton Police told 22News they arrested 55-year-old Daniel Perras after executing a warrant at 30 Briggs Street around 7:57 a.m. Easthampton Police were assisted by members of the Northwestern DA’s Office Anti-Crime Task Force.
Police say the search warrant came as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug sales in the Easthampton area.
During the search warrant, officers found drug paraphernalia, drug packaging materials, 400 bags of heroin, marijuana, other evidence related to the case and $16,287 in cash.
Police believe the drugs and items found are proceeds from illegal drug sales.
Perras is facing charges including possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute marijuana among others.
He was arraigned in Northampton District Court and held on $5,000 bail.
