Police searching for vehicle involved in Egremont attempted abduction

Police in the Berkshire County Town of Egremont are investigating a report of an attempted abduction Wednesday night.

According to Egremont police, a woman was jogging on Creamery Road at around 5:00 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up next to her. The front seat passenger allegedly opened the door and grabbed the woman by the arm, but Egremont police say she was able to break free and run away.

The victim described the occupants of the car as four Hispanic men. The suspect vehicle is described as an older gray or silver Jeep Wrangler with black and gold New York plates, a soft top, and tape on the windows. It was last seen driving south on Creamery Road towards Route 23.
