Springfield man facing drug charges after allegedly distributing heroin

A man from Springfield is facing charges for selling heroin, after he was arrested by federal agents.

According to a newly-unsealed federal indictment, 29-year-old Javier Vazquez allegedly distributed heroin in Hampden County between June and July of 2018.

He’s charged with of distribution of heroin, and  possession of heroin with intent to distribute.

If convicted, Vazquez faces up to 30 years in prison, and a fine of up to $2 million dollars.
