A man is facing an armed robbery charge after he allegedly robbed a store in Springfield Monday night.
According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, officers were called to the Metro PCS on Boston Road at 7 p.m. Monday night for a report of an armed robbery.
Walsh said a masked man, who was later identified as 48-year-old Luis Vargas, entered the store, demanded money, and said he had a gun.
Vargas allegedly got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police got a search warrant for Vargas’ home and Walsh said officers found the cash, the mask, and the hoodie the suspect was wearing at the time of the robbery.
