Springfield police investigating alleged kidnapping incident

Springfield police are investigating after a man was allegedly kidnapped from Southwick early Sunday morning.

According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, officers were called to a report of a break-in on Savoy Avenue at 1:55 a.m.

Walsh said officers found a victim who claimed he was kidnapped at gunpoint in Southwick and taken to Springfield.

The victim told police the suspects got away from Savoy Avenue with money and that one of them shot at him but missed, Walsh said.

The man declined to be taken to the hospital.
