Springfield police looking for car believed to be involved in hit and run

Springfield police are asking the public’s help in locating a car believed to be involved in a hit and run incident on Clyde Street Monday afternoon.

Springfield Police Department spokesman Ryan Walsh told 22News the suspect vehicle is a gold Mercedes. He said a man was taken to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries after being dragged an unknown distance by the car.

Witnesses told police the victim was arguing with the driver before he was struck by the car.
