Three people from California were arrested Saturday at the Logan International Airport after more than 150 pounds of marijuana was found in their luggage.

According to State Police Spokesperson David Procopio, state police were notified that two people flying into the airport had a large amount of marijuana in several suitcases.

Procopio said 48-year-old Jerry McNair, and 57-year-old Ladonna Hardman arrived at the airport on a flight from Sacramento, California and met with a woman later identified as 37-year-old Saudia Watson.

Police approached McNair and Hardman once they got their luggage, and also approached Watson as her luggage looked very similar.

Procopio said between all Hardman, McNair, and Watson’s luggage police found 150 plastic bags of marijuana. In total the bags of marijuana from the luggage weighed more than 150 pounds.

All three were charged with trafficking marijuana and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Hardman and McNair are each facing an additional charge of possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute.

They are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in East Boston District Court.
