State Police make huge counterfeit bust in Lawrence

State Police made a huge bust on the sale of counterfeit items in Lawrence Saturday morning. State police spokesman David Procopio told 22News state troopers, Lawrence police, and agents from Homeland Security executed 3 search warrants leading to the arrests of three men.

Raids were conducted at the Lawrence Flea Market, where more than 6-thousand counterfeit fashion and accessory items were seized totaling more than 1.5 million dollars.

Three sellers were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute more than 1-thousand counterfeit items:

  • Jinwu Wang, 41, of Oakland Gardens, NY
  • Sheng-Fu Weng, 39, of Flushing, NY
  • Sheng-Chao Weng, 37, of Fresh Meadows, NY

The 3 men were released on bail and will be arraigned next week.
