State Police seeking identity of man suspected of vandalizing State House

Police need your help identifying the man pictured, suspected of vandalizing the exterior of the State House during the early hours of Sunday, March 3. 

State Police say troopers discovered graffiti painted at the following locations of the State House: 

  • State House at the corner of Derne and Bowdoin streets 
  • State House at the corner of Mount Vernon and Hancock streets 
  • DCR guard building on Mount Vernon 
  • Fiedler Foot Bridge 
  • A privately-owned residence on Mount Vernon at Hancock streets 

State Police say they have teamed up with Boston Police as several private residences and vehicles on Beacon Hill and surrounding areas were vandalized with similar graffiti containing words expressing strong political beliefs. 

Police believe the graffiti at the State House, other buildings and a car in the same area were committed by the man pictured above.

Anyone with information related to the incident or about his identity is asked to call State Police Troop H at (617) 740-7812.
