Surveillance photos of Easthampton bank robbery suspect released

Crime

Easthampton police are hoping surveillance images released to the public will help them identity a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred nearly three weeks ago.

The department posted pictures of the suspect and the getaway vehicle on their official Facebook page Thursday morning. The robbery occurred at around 2:44 in the afternoon Friday, January 11 at the Easthampton Savings Bank branch on Main Street.

The suspect is described as a pale-skinned white man in his 40’s or early 50’s. He is overweight and about 5’6″ tall. At the time of the robbery, he had a bandage or an eye patch over his left eye, which police said was described as “looking fake.”

His getaway vehicle is believed to be a dark-colored 2006-2009 Toyota Yaris. The vehicle appears to have six-spoke wheel covers, possible damage to the bumper and left-side body, and may have stickers on the car’s rear window.

If you have any information on the suspect or the vehicle, you are asked to call the Easthampton Police Detective Bureau at 413-527-1212.
