HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Hartford Police have made an arrest in the murder of 35 year old Ross Stone.
On December 27, Hartford Police were dispatched to the vicinity of Garden St. and Pliny St. after a shot spotter activation picked up a total of 7 rounds of gunfire. In addition, several 911 calls came in indicating that 2 people had been shot.
Police discovered two victims, 35 year old Ross Stone and 25 year old Elijah Adorno, each suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Ross Stone succumbed to his injuries shortly after 5:00 PM that night. As a result of an investigation conducted by the Major Crimes Division and Crime Scene Division personnel, 29 year old Abdul-Hakim Ali of East Hartford was identified as a suspect.
On December 30th at 1:04 AM, members of the Hartford Police Vice/Intelligence/Narcotics and Hartford’s U.S. Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force located Ali in New London at a hotel room.
Ali was taken into custody without incident or injury. He was transported to the Hartford Police Major Crimes Division where he was interviewed and processed.
Ali has been charged with Murder, Assault in the 1st Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He is currently being help on $1,000,000 bond and will be arraigned on Monday December 31st at 10:00 AM in Hartford.
