Springfield police were able to quickly arrest two suspects accused of breaking into cars in the city’s McKnight neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

Police Capt. Richard LaBelle told 22News that officers were called to the area around Ingersoll Grove and Bowdoin Terrace just after 1:30 P.M., where at least four cars had been broken into.

LaBelle said that shortly before 3:00, officers found two suspects who were allegedly carrying items that had been reported stolen from the cars, including keys, a gym bag, a television, and a DVD player.

The suspects’ names have not yet been released, but LaBelle said that they were young men, aged 18 and 19. One of the suspects is from Orange, while the other is from Greenfield.
