One person was taken to the hospital following a shooting in Springfield early Friday morning.
Springfield Police Lt. Jessica Henderson told 22News that officers were called to Worthington Street at around 12:30 A.M., after the department’s ShotSpotter system picked up the sound of gunfire.
Springfield police spokesman Ryan Walsh said officers located a gunshot victim in the parking lot of the Fifth Alarm at 775 Worthington Street.
Walsh said the victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center and is expected to be okay.
Springfield Police are investigating the shooting.
