State Police recovered several unlicensed firearms, multiple knives and drugs during a traffic stop on I-91 in Greenfield earlier this week.
During a search of the car, Trooper Scott Boutell of the Shelburne Falls Barracks found multiple guns and ammunition. Trooper Boutell also found 176 grams of crystal meth, two double-edged knives, a sword, a scale and ecstasy pills.
No one in the car had a license to carry a firearm, and the driver did not have an active driver’s license. He and his two passengers were placed under arrest.
The driver was charged with multiple motor vehicle and gun violations.
