West Springfield police looking for man accused of breaking into Cass Ave. home

West Springfield Police are asking for help identifying the owner of a van believed to have broken into a home in May.

According to the Springfield Police Department, the owner of the Cass Avenue home saw the van leaving his driveway on May 20.

Police said when the homeowner arrived home he discovered it’d been broken into. 

The owner of the home described the driver of the van as a heavy set black, or dark skinned Hispanic man.

Police said the van appears to be a Dodge Caravan made between 2001 to 2007, and has a paper license in the back window. 

Authorities are asking anyone who may have information of the identify of the driver to contact the West Springfield Police Detectives Bureau at 413-263-3210 and reference case number 18-9477-OF.
