Dakin offering half priced adoptions for small animals on Black Friday

The Dakin Humane Society is celebrating Black Friday with some special deals.

According to Dakin Spokesperson Lee Chambers, the Black Friday:It’s a smalls World adoption event cuts adoption fees in half for small animals all day Friday.

Birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, hamsters, mice, and rats all qualify as small animals and will have their adoption fees reduced by 50 percent. 

The event begins at 12:30 p.m. and goes until 4:30 at the Leveritt location, and goes until 5:30 at the Springfield location.

“At this time of year many of us think about our families, and animals are often an important part of that,”  said Carmine DiCenso, executive director at Dakin. “They provide a great deal of love and comfort to people, and help everyone have a sense of family. Our Black Friday adoption events are meant to make adoption available to as many folks as possible…”
