A conversation in Holyoke focused on the opioid epidemic Wednesday night. Holyoke Medical Center hosted a discussion on opioid dependency.
The discussion was centered on the ways Holyoke Medical Center is combating dependency.
Dr. Amy Jaworek explained what can be done to stop opioid dependency.
“I’m hoping tonight to cover some of the commonly used therapies such as Suboxone, a little bit about Methadone and other injectable treatments that can help people maintain their sobriety off opioids,” Dr. Jaworek told 22News.
The discussion was one in a series of workshops that are held throughout the year to help people learn about specific health issues, prevention, and treatment.
