Dozens in Halloween spirit at Springfield Museums’ Monster Mash

News

The Springfield Museums held their annual “Monster Mash” Saturday.

The indoor Halloween celebration was the perfect place for families looking to beat the rain to spend their day.

Children were able to trick or treat their way through all five buildings after decorating their own candy bags. Live animal demonstrations and giant dancing puppet skeletons were also featured at the event.

“I thought it’d be a fun thing to do plus on top of that it’s the museum so they can see other things besides the trick or treat part of it,” Tasha Branch of Springfield told 22News. “It’s cool. It’s educational and it’s out of the rain.”

Saturday’s Monster Mash was free with museum admission.
