Dozens of runners came together for the 26th Annual Hanukkah Road Race


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – This annual race has become a holiday season tradition for many participants. The race kicked off at 9:30AM.

The 5k race started at the Springfield Jewish Community Center and ended in Longmeadow. The cost to register for this event was $25 and all proceeds will benefit programs at the JCC.

Race Director Seth Roberts told 22News, “We keep doing it every year and people keep coming back to celebrate Hannukah and recognize Hannukah, and we do it on the first Sunday of the Hannukah service.”

Prizes will also be given to the top man and woman winners, ages 13-17 winners and 12 and under winners.
