Bax and O’Brien go live at concert in downtown Springfield

A select few hundred people were treated to a cultural experience in downtown Springfield Friday evening.

A full house greeted Rock 102 Producer and Radio Personality Steve Nagle for the 5th annual “Bax and O’Brien Live” show at City Stage.

It was the 5th year of the live show, which puts John O’Brien a little out of his comfort zone.

O’Brien told 22News, “I got into the business of being heard and not seen. But this is a stage show. It’s all clean. It’s a family program, for the most part. Yeah, we’ve been doing this for a while and it sells pretty good, surprisingly.  I don’t know why.”

Not quite a family program.

It was a sort of R-rated version of their daily radio show.

“Bax and O’Brien Live” was sold out for the fifth year in a row.

John and Mike Baxendale have been a team for 23 years and counting.
