Brynn Cartelli of Longmeadow wins season 14 of NBC’s ‘The Voice’

Sometimes dreams do come true! No surprise to her many fans in western Massachusetts, Longmeadow’s Brynn Cartelli has won season 14 of NBC’s ‘The Voice.’

Several hundred people were in the Young Building at the Big E for our 22News, WMAS, Big Y, Brynn’s in the Voice Finale Viewing Party.

There was a lot of excitement at the Big E, with less than an hour to go until western Massachusetts residents found out the Longmeadow teen had won it all.

People were lined up before the doors even opened at the Big E Tuesday, and Mass Appeal’s Lauren Zenzie and Danny New got the crowd going before the show kicked off at 8 p.m.

With hundreds coming together to cheer on Cartelli, the group got excited anytime the Longmeadow native came on screen.

People from all across the Pioneer Valley were in the house, and they told 22News they’re proud to see someone from our area make it big.

“I was shocked because I go to Bay Path University in Longmeadow, so I was shocked to hear that someone from Longmeadow was going to ‘The Voice,’” said Alexa Dimenno of Westfield.

“I thought it was pretty cool like she’s really good like she’s only 15?” asked Rachel Miller also of Westfield. “She has an amazing voice.”

About midway through the show, two of the final four contestants were eliminated, followed by performances by the remaining two.

Cartelli was named the winner of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ just before 11 p.m.
