Northampton celebrates eighth annual Family Fourth event

Northampton got into the July 4th celebrations at Look Park Saturday evening.

The annual Northampton Family Fourth event attracts thousands to enjoy the Parks & Recreation Department bounce houses, carnival games and prizes.

The event began at 5:00 p.m.

The weather held out for many to enjoy the fireworks at the end of the night accompanied by patriotic music performed live by the Florence Community Band.

“All kinds of food vendors,  Florence Civic and Business Association,” said Shawn Porter, Look Park executive director. “The Lions Club is here. Just all here to support Northampton’s Family Fourth event. It’s a family friendly fourth event. You’ll see kids running around having a good time.”

This was the 8th year of the July Fourth celebrations at Look Park.

The event was free.
