Adult film star, Stormy Daniels, who’s best known for alleging she had an affair with President Donald Trump, was at the Mardi Gras club in Springfield Friday night.
Daniels entered the gentlemen’s club around 9:50 p.m. covered in a sheet and surrounded by security and Springfield police officers.
Promoter Tony Long told 22News the club was at capacity, and they had extra security in hand.
Long said 22News Daniels performed for two shows at the downtown club starting at 7 p.m., then two additional shows at the East Windsor location on Saturday.
22News was told there would be extra security at the club as a precaution.
Daniels shot to international fame after taking a $130,000 payment to keep quiet about her allegations of an affair with Donald Trump before he became president.
She’s fighting to invalidate a nondisclosure agreement she signed days before the 2016 election. Daniels will have two shows at Mardi Gras, during which she’ll take pictures and sign autographs.
“We’ve taken extra precautions,” Long told 22News. “We have increased our own security detail. Everyone will be patted down, bags will be checked and walk through a metal detector.”
Long adds that Daniels will have her own personal bodyguards as well. One Springfield resident told 22News he doesn’t think the event poses any threat to the public.
“I’ve seen enough of who she is, again that’s her right to do those things but no interest of mine to see her personally,” said Anthony Brown of Springfield.
Daniels’ two performances took place Friday at 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.
