Friendly’s brings back popular Nor’easter Pothole sundae

Just in time for winter, Friendly’s has introduced a limited edition Nor’Easter Pothole Sundae.

The Wilbraham based chain introduced ice cream fans to Nor’easter Pothole ice cream last year, and this winter season they’re back with the sundae in honor of their New England roots.

The Sundae has flat tire fudge, crème cookie gravel, and chocolate asphalt chips and Friendly’s began serving it on Monday.

The Friendly’s in West Springfield said they’ve sold a few of the Sundae’s so far this week, but they’re expecting a spike in sales of this sweet pothole treat over the weekend.

Alexus Kelly from West Springfield, told 22News it could be a good thing, “I think it’s pretty funny, not so funny for the town, who needs to fix the potholes, but I think it’s funny that they’re bringing attention to it, cause God knows the town needs work on these roads. All of New England pretty bad this time of year.”

Friendly’s has not said how long the Sundae will be sold.
