WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – An attorney for a prominent local building company says that they are cooperating with a government investigation.
22News was at the offices of Pecoy Homes in West Springfield, where people identifying themselves as IRS agents said that they could not speak about what they were doing there.
Stephen Spelman, an attorney representing Pecoy, released the following statement:
“The company fully cooperated with the agency’s search for documents. We have no details regarding the reason for the government’s investigation, and we are not currently aware of any misconduct or wrongdoing on the part of any company employees.”
It is not immediately clear what or who is being investigated.
