Hasbro begins program to recycle toys

(WJAR) Rhode Island-based Hasbro toy company is launching a new recycling pilot program.

The toy company wants to make sure toys won’t be discarded once they’ve been fully loved.

The program encourages consumers to send back any well-loved toys and games that will be recycled and used to build play spaces, flower pots, and park benches.

The program is open to all Hasbro toys and games, including: face-to-face games, plastic and electronic toys, action figures, dolls, plush and more.

Hasbro says it cannot accept ride-on products, such as bikes and scooters, or baby products, like playpens and car seats.
